Customization and Export options

iMapp reports give a massive range of useful data for real estate professionals and their clients. To see all informational sections structure, data types, calculations details, check out iMapp Property Reports User Guide. In this guide, we will focus on customization and export options, which are available for all iMapp reports.

Display and export options are placed on the right side menu of each report, which is best-suited for use when you are ready to download the report for your work purposes. The view of the information sections can be customized in Show Reports Section, so that you can keep in focus only information you need. Moreover, all iMapp reports are available for the export: you can get the data in the format which is convenient for you or your client using Save PDF, Print and Email:

Show Reports Section setting

When you open any property report in iMapp, you’ll see a huge set of real estate data, including the information from the listings and county agencies, additional parameters calculated by iMapp, map, graphs and stats data. To control the size and content of the report, you might want to remove some info sections, which are not important for you as for now or you don’t want to share with your clients or partners. You can hide the sections in two ways:

  • using Show Reports Sections settings
  • using X button which is placed on the top of each block

Note, that you’re not deleting the section, just hiding it temporarily: you can unhide it anytime using the checkbox in the settings. The hidden sections are not added to export files: they won’t be available in PDF, on printed page or in email. Important: these settings work for all iMapp reports; don’t forget to unhide them back as iMapp remembers your setting and doesn’t set back selection to default. If you ever seem to be missing data, ensure that all Report Sections are turned on the “Show Report Sections”.

Tip: you you find the section useful for your analysis, but you don’t want to overload your client with information, just hide the section before exporting the report via saving, printing or mailing.

Some of the data sections have additional view options to customize: thus, you can hide/unhide additional calculations and charts in the section, and change map layout using drop down with Small and Large options:

Save PDF option

Save PDF option allows you to save the report in PDF format, which will look like the iMapp property report web page: the design and layout of the saved report will be the same as you see it in iMapp, the hidden sections won’t be included. Click Save PDF → iMapp will generate the report → the report will be saved automatically on your computer:

Print is easy and fast way to print out the property report with selected layout. More over, you can control there the number of pages to print. Click Print → a default print pop-up will appear → select there print option, pages and layout → click Print/Save (depending on the destination option you’ve selected):

As mentioned before, the printed page looks exactly like iMapp property report web page.

Tip: click dropdown More settings if you want to choose paper size, margins, pages per sheet and other print settings:

E-mail option

When you have a report ready to be shared quickly via email, use E-mail option.

Important: when the report is sent via email, the recipient will get the public link to a static version of the report: this means that this person doesn’t need to have iMapp access to view it and no additional login or verification is required. The data and map will remain the same on this report and the link will be active for the next 30 days.

When the button Email is clicked, you’ll see the pop-up with the fields to fill in:

  • Recipients E-Mail(s): add one or several emails you want to send the report to. Use comma to separate emails while adding more than one recipient;
  • Your E-Mail: the email which was used by your user in iMapp, you can change it manually in the filed. Important: this is not sender’s email: all emails with the report will be sent from emails@propertykey.com (so this email will be in “from” filed for the recipient). The setting is used to be able to send the report to yourself too, making sure it was sent to the recipient. Check the box “Send CC To Myself” and you’ll get your copy of the report on a specified email.
  • Subject: the title of the email letter
  • Message: the text you want to send with the link to the report. It can be a text or just some notes, comments. If you don’t need any details added, you don’t need to leave a message there.

When all email info is filled in, click "Send E-Mail" to send the message. E-mails will be sent from the address: emails@propertykey.com. You may need to add that address to your contact list to ensure that the message doesn’t get categorized as spam. If your recipient does not receive this message in a few minutes, have them check their spam or junk mail folder.

Happy exporting! :)
