Quick Search in Map Browse

If you want to find particular address on the map quickly, use Quick Search option: enter there the location and click on magnifying glass. The tool will give you the list of options with your address from the state you are located in. Select one to go to that property:

Map View in Map Browse option

By default on the Map Browse page, you’ll be taken to the the general area or state where you are located. If you’ve worked with iMapp’s before, the next time you click map browse, the map will show the location where you previously have viewed reports or browsed. Use Zoom in/out buttons or simply your mouse to adjust the map view. You can zoom in to see more detail such as streets and houses, or zoom out to see less detail.

Note: Not all map layers are available in all locations or at all zoom levels. If you do not see a layer you are expecting, you may need to zoom in or out or move to a different location to see that layer. Additionally, some icon layers are presented via “clustering” at some zoom layers, if there are too many icons to display individually. When you see an icon with a small red number next to it, that indicates the icon represents a cluster of similar icons at roughly that map location. You can zoom in closer to see those icons in there exact location.

Some annotation and icon layers, when available are seen on the Property Overlays menu at the bottom of the map for easier customization. This can include MLS Listings of various statuses, and other icon and thematic layers.

From the Property Overlays menu you can click the blue Find me button to show your current location on the map. The view of the properties in foreclosures are also controlled on Property Overlays bar: uncheck the checkbox if you don’t want to see these houses. If you activate some check boxes in Map Layers, you’ll be able to see your selection in Property Overlays:

  • the settings under Parcel Annotations (estimated value, equity, tax delinquent, etc.) will be shown in Property Overlays if they are checked and disappear if unchecked (they are unchecked and hidden by default);
  • the selection under Points of Interest will be displayed in the Property Overlays settings too: the Foreclosure and MLS Listing check boxes are enabled by default; if all check boxes in Points of Interest are unchecked, the Property Overlays is not displayed at all. You can add these layers to the Property Overlays menu by adding them from the Map Layers menu on the right.

Keep in mind, that using your mouse or touch pad you can not only zoom in/out, but also move the map in any direction for the best view (click and hold the mouse on the map, or pinch and zoom on a touch interface). Some customized layers are only available in certain geographic regions or at certain zoom levels. If you are not seeing those layers, you may need to zoom in or pan around to find them.
