Suggested Search - Non-Owner-Occupied Properties

The IMAPP Search interface allows you to conduct many types of queries and find the matching properties using Property Tax and other data. The search interface is flexible enough to include everything from very simple requests to very intricate and exact filters.

There are a group of searches related to data about where the owner seems to live. The broadest category of these is "Owner Occupied". If you would like search for Properties that are Not Owner Occupied, you can pick the "Owner Occupied" search field, and set the Search value equal to "No".

This will return properties any where the Owner's mailing address is not the same as the property address and the property is not homesteaded. This will help you find homes that are either unoccupied, or occupied by someone other than the owner (renter or family member). Some of these are investment properties or properties that might be available for sale in the future.

You can add additional criteria to any search, to further limit your results to a map area, specific city/zipcode/etc, certain property types, valuation ranges, and more. Some additional fields are available n the drop down "Search Fields". Important: You do not need to fill in all lines of the search interface. Only fill in the lines that meet your requirements. A simple search may only fill one or two lines.

Related Searches

In addition to "owner occupied", there are similar related "Owner" based search, including "Owner Is US Resident" and "Owner is State Resident" and "Owner is County Resident" , which can help you find out-of-country or out-of-state owners that are similarly owning properties in your search region. Some Real Estate professionals find these to be key market segments.

In some areas, IMAPP includes a search field for "Is Homesteaded Y/N". BY setting that to true, your search will be limited to ONLY properties that were marked as homesteaded in the most recent set of county data we have. The rules for "homestead" qualification vary from region-to-region.

Another similar field is "Unoccupied Address", which when True indicates when a property doesn't seem to have any permanent resident living there. These properties may be temporarily vacant, used as short-term-rental, under construction, etc.
