Suggested Search - Foreign Owners

IMAPP includes a series of Suggested Searches to help you get started with some common tasks and learn how searching can work. When you click on the "Foreign Owners" suggested search, the fields of the search page will reload with some search fields populated.

This will search within all property records in a selected County that is owned by someone in Canada and which is valued in a certain range. The is a possible search used by real estate professionals to find foreign owners, or owners for specific foreign countries, who might be interested in selling their real estate.

The default settings will show "Owner is US Resident" equals "No", which means the owners property tax address is not in the US. There is also as field for "Owner County "Equal To" "CANADA", which filters that more to only properties whose owner is listed as being from CANADA. You can select other countries from the drop-down list, or to include all countries, leave this field blank. We also include an estimated value range, to you can use to limit your prospecting to certain appealing market segments. This is shown by "Value Estimated" "Is Between" a lower value and upper value limit, separated by a comma.

The search interface is highly customizable. You can also choose alternate "Property Location" regions, draw a your own geographic shape on the reference map, or add other filters by filling in more lines or selecting other fields from the search fields list. Each additional item you add further focuses the results to just what you want. You can also remove some lines from consideration by deleting whatever is in the "Search Value" for that line.

You can click "Start Search" to do the search as prepared. This search will find all properties whose owner is listed as being from Canada and which is valued in a certain range of likely selling prices. From the results of this search, you can download data for matching properties or create mailing labels to contact the property owners.

Note: Foreign Owners is a search that finds owners that do not seem to live in the country. There are other similar types of searches regarding where the owner seems to live. The broadest category of these is "Owner Occupied". If you would like search for Properties that are Not Owner Occupied, you can pick the "Owner Occupied" search field, and set the Search value equal to "No".

This will return properties any where the Owner's address is not the same as the property address.
