Tutorial: Help System
There are multiple ways to access the iMapp Help system. On every page, there is a Help Button in the left side menu. Click on this button to bring up the integrated Help system to provide you Answers.
A popup Help system will appear over the top of the page you are working on. The system will prompt you with suggestion for help articles based on the page you are looking at. You can also type in topic(s) in the search area at the bottom of the popup to search for other topics. When you see an article you want to read, click on the title of that article (eg. Search Page Overview).
Clicking on an article will open the article within the Help Popup. To see the article in a full page, click on the Title of the article on the popup. This may be helpful if you cannot see enough detail in images within the help system, or if videos are too small to see clearly. Click the "Close" button above the Help popup when you are done to return to working in iMapp.
Another Help alternative are the help Tool-Tips through the system. These are indicated by a grey question mark with a circle around it. Clicking on these Tool Tips will also bring up the help system, but with a specific focused help article about the element you are looking at. This can be helpful to explain what a report section means, where data comes from, how to interact with report sections or maps, how to customize what you are working with, and more.
If you have further questions that cannot be answered by the help system articles, you can also submit technical support requests via the Help popup. Click on the "Ask" button at the top. You will be prompted to describe your problem in as much detail as possible, and your contact information. Click "Send a message" when you are ready. Sending a message is especially useful if the system isn't working as you expect it to, or if you want to report some data which appears to be incomplete or incorrect. We will do our best to address any issue and respond as quickly as possible.
